The cheese market is a highly volatile market where demand and supply can shift on an almost daily basis. Companies that process cheese are always looking for an optimal balance between high quality cheese, efficiency and the affordability of the solution. An example of a volatile cheese market is the market for Italian hard cheese, often there is limited availability with high prices as a result.

Solution

In the market for Italian type cheeses we saw an opportunity for our customers to maintain their competitive edge while also offering a tasty product to their customers. Together with our R&D experts we developed Goya as an alternative to Italian hard cheeses. By introducing this Goya, our customers have a price competitive, easy processing and tasty alternative. Introducing our rindless ripened Goya in euroblock 15 Kg format helped our customers to increase efficiency in their plants and lowered the costprice of the end product by at least a euro per kilogram.
